Let’s face facts. Single-parent homes are not the ideal situation for anyone. As single mothers, we tend to face a lot of setbacks. We earn less money, we have to rely on others more than we want to, we often have to put ourselves on the backburner. As a result we often experience higher than average rates of stress, anxiety, and/or depression.

Our children typically don’t fare any better. Children from single-parent homes tend to have lower grades in school and higher dropout rates, are more likely to experience mental health issues themselves, and are more likely to engage in risky behaviors. These numbers should leave you feeling deeply unsettled.

Single parenthood is not a death sentence to our quality of life, however. It’s no secret we face some serious hurdles. And perhaps life will never look the way we envisioned it to be, but we are not victims of our situation. We can take a very active role and reclaim our power. We can still create a very beautiful life for ourselves and our children in spite of our current circumstances. We have so much more control than society leads us to believe.

This site is designed to be a community of single mothers who come together to connect, share tips and tricks, and uplift one another as we take this journey to a better life together. Let’s start flourishing!

We don’t need to struggle any more! Let’s flourish together!
